Memorable moments:

Pat recalls winning the Soloist’s Prize at The Rhyl Contest playing Carnival of Venice, Solo Euphonium Prize at The Seniors Cup (Blackpool) and Soloist Prize at The Troon Entertainment Contest on 2 occasions, well done Pat!

More about Pat:

Pat joined the band in May 1979.

Over the years Pat has made a name for himself as a very talented and sort after player.

Thankfully, Pat is a core member of Freckleton band and wishes to stay with us.

He also gained his L.L.C.M. in Music.

Pat has a lovely son called Ben. You can see his pictures in our Toddlers Area.

Pat’s Hobbies:

Pat enjoys playing Badminton, Golf and Cycling.

His work also means that he is very involved in Computing.

Jon Ford

Date of Birth: 1985

Started playing in: 1994

1st band: Astley Youth Band

Previous bands: Ellenbrook and Boothstown, Wigan Youth Band, St. Helens Youth Band, Rainford, Pemberton, Tyldesley, Leeds University Union (LUUMS) Brass Band and Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Drighlington and Timperley

Memorable moments:

• Winning the 1 st section areas in 2006 with Drighlington
• Playing at the Millennium Dome with Wigan Youth Band and Don Lusher.
• Playing at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee with St.Helens Youth Band
• Several European tours with Wigan Youth Band
• Serving David Guest a stale cake in the Trafford Centre

More about Jon:

Jon studied music at the University of Leeds, majoring in composition with Philip Wilby and Martin Watkins. He has just completed a secondary music PGCE.

Jon’s Hobbies:

When not at band, Jon enjoys running, playing on the Wii and trying to play the piano and guitar.
